End of Julys meet

i set the challenge for this meet, i thought it was quite a good one but it didnt seem too popular with some of you ladies

i gave each lady a pick of a kit which consisted of a set of instructions, sheet of backing paper, ribbon, stamp or sticker and some jewels or brads, the instructions were for a bagelope which they then had to decorate using the goodies from their pack

here are the instructions they were given

Bagelope instructions

Take an envelope of any size

Seal the flap completely. You may need to use a little extra glue at the ends

Cut off the top to form the bag opening..

Score fold lines along the three sealed edges to the required size making sure they are all the same width if you have a score board this will be slightly easier. These score lines will form little squares in the bottom left and right corners.

Score these boxes in half diagonally to make two triangles, starting from each bottom corner and scoring inward.

Fold along the scored lines to form the bagelope.

The folded triangles will poke out on each side.

Fold the triangles under and glue them to the bagelope’s bottom.

Fold the top over to make a lip so that the bag is fully secure (optional).

You can seal the bagelope in many different ways.. A few options are: Velcro, double-sided tape, or file folder

Decorate as required making sure you use all of the elements included in your pack

Crafty Devils Weekend Meet

This weekend saw a two day meet of the crafty devils club. Evelyn and Dorothy joined us from Scotland and it was lovely to see them again.

There were lots of challenges and lots of fun. We then went to the pub for our tea on Saturday night and a lovely time was had by all.

craft meet 14 June

We all had another lovely day yesterday, it was great meeting up again girlies...

The theme was elephants (thanks Sue) I had nothing with them on and had to go on the borrow luckily Gill came to my rescue. The challenge this time was a guest one and it was set by Sharon.

Sharon gave us all a card blank ready folded, a sheet of acetate and a list of other things we had to use. We all came up with very differant ideas.

i know patsi is away and i havent seen saz about for a while so i thought i would just remind us all because i know i will probably forget, that the meet is on sunday, not sure but i think it is 11 hopefully saz or patsi can let us know for sure before then.bring your lunch, cups,subs, bits n bobs for sharons challenge and of course your craft essentials

craft meet on may 31st

Had a great meet, not as many turned up today so there was plenty of space for those of us that did. The weather was very hot today and i think it was putting us crafters off slightly, even i only managed one card today and that was the challenge card.

Anyway here are the pics of our challenge cards, it was a sketch which was created by loretta fromthe do crafts forum for her mionday challenge, we were late entering but better late than never i suppose,

May Craft meets

We had our special visitor at this months meet, in the form of angie71.

It was nice to meet angie, i know that most of the others had already met her at blackpool.

Anyway it was due to Angies visit that we had a whole weekend of crafting, we had a challenge on both days, one was a sketch challenge and the other was a goody bag challenge. For the goody bag challenge we had to pick a bag out and make a card which contained everthing in the bag, the bags had, 2 backing papers, ribbon, brads and a stamped image.

On the sunday we also had a stamping up demonstrator attend, we all got to make a card using the stamping up stamps .

Forgot to say today that for Junes meet you need a wallet card with 25 - 30 items in it, it can be anything from images to ribbon to brads etc............................... put your wallet in an envelope so the bits dont fall out.

Preferably a hand made one!! xx

Wallet for the meet

We have to make a wallet for the meet in the theme of flowers with images inside these can be of any discription but we need a nember of images can anyone tell me how many sorry forgotten senior moment

Just to remind you that we are meeting twice in May Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th. The Stamping Up demo is on the Sunday.

WORD BOOKS

HI ALL I HAVE BEEN BUSY THIS WEEK MAKING MY FIRST WORD BOOKS, I DID NOT HAVE ANY TEMPLATES SO I HAD TO WORK OUT HOW TO DO THEM USING MICROSOFT WORD, WHICH I DID MANAGE QUITE SUCCESSFULLY, I HAVE MADE 2 SO FAR AND I AM ONTO MY THIRD NOW.

I GOT QUITE A FEW QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS FOR THE WORD BOOK INSTRUCTIONS SO I MADE A TUTORIAL WITH PICTURES FOR THEM AND PUT IT ON MY BLOG http://bitsandwillybobs.blogspot.com/ NOT SURE HOW EASY THEY ARE TO FOLLOW BUT IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HAVE A GO FEEL FREE, I USED MICROSOFT 2007.
