I had an idea girls I'm gonna do a challenge on here once a month with a goodie bag for the winner nothin too fancy, the first one i want to see a side step card cause i can do them now ha ha ha thanks to Natalie.... just make your card pop it onto this blog and lets get this blog used a bit more. here's mine to start off.

Last Meets Cards

At last weeks meet I actually made 3 cards, 2 of which were for challenges.

This is my fathers day card which was also entered into the Totally Gorjuss - One for the boys......hope you like it xx




This one is the Just Magnolia challenge that i fitted in with the weeks theme of black and white................and was the crafty devil challenge card too.

Hello everyone,

I am sorry to say that we are going to have to put the subs up to £2 a time. This is due to the fact that some months we hardly have enough people to cover the room rent and also we still have to buy the tea and coffee.

I hope everyone is ok with this. The rise will take effect from July.

Today's Meet

Well today;s meet went really well and was lots of fun despite the fact that there were a lot of people missing.

Crafty Shell set the challenge which was a tent card it was really easy to make and lots of fun. Here is mine ..................................

Sharon Angel also did a new take on the tri fold card which was really stunning when finished, I will let you see mine when Gilly sends me the picture! xx

Blackpool

I think it is safe to say that everybody who went to blackpool on the craft retreat had a marvellous time, i know i did. just thought that i would add some pics from the crafting sessions

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone I met during the retreat for making it such a fun and special time. Mostly I would like to say a huge thanks to patsy and angie for organising it, and the fab demonstrators for showing us some wonderful new techniques.

Latest craft meet of the Crafty Devils

The lastest meet of the crafty Devils was a two day one. Saturday was thin on the ground for people, but areallt lovely day! So I guess the rowdy crowd all attended on Sunday. Both days had great challenges. It was handbags on Saturday, with a guest challenge of shaker cards on Sunday from the lovely Jen.

November Night Out and Vote

Hi

As it will be nearly Christmas and also as there are loads of birthdays in November we thought we would have a night out. This means that one one of the November meets will be a 2 day meet and a night out on the Staurday night. Some people may want to stay over and we thought we could book some travel lodge rooms if 2 people share it will be about £20 each.

Can you please vote on the right hand side and let us know which weekend suits you best?

August Meet

Sorry it's took me so long to post this girls but i kept forgetting.

The theme for August was ballons and patsi & Sara's challenge was a sketch one. i went out of my comfort zone and made 2 a5 cards which for me is large (i normally ony make 6x6 ones).

Blackpool Retreat 30th and 31st January 2010

The details for next years retreat have been finalised and we are now taking bookings with very limited spaces. The retreat is open to all paper crafters.

Meet is held in Blackpool and we usually use 2 Bed and Breakfast hotels, this year we will be using a separate hall to craft in as it became very cramped last year.

End of Julys meet

i set the challenge for this meet, i thought it was quite a good one but it didnt seem too popular with some of you ladies

i gave each lady a pick of a kit which consisted of a set of instructions, sheet of backing paper, ribbon, stamp or sticker and some jewels or brads, the instructions were for a bagelope which they then had to decorate using the goodies from their pack

here are the instructions they were given

Bagelope instructions

Take an envelope of any size

Seal the flap completely. You may need to use a little extra glue at the ends

Cut off the top to form the bag opening..

Score fold lines along the three sealed edges to the required size making sure they are all the same width if you have a score board this will be slightly easier. These score lines will form little squares in the bottom left and right corners.

Score these boxes in half diagonally to make two triangles, starting from each bottom corner and scoring inward.

Fold along the scored lines to form the bagelope.

The folded triangles will poke out on each side.

Fold the triangles under and glue them to the bagelope’s bottom.

Fold the top over to make a lip so that the bag is fully secure (optional).

You can seal the bagelope in many different ways.. A few options are: Velcro, double-sided tape, or file folder

Decorate as required making sure you use all of the elements included in your pack

Crafty Devils Weekend Meet

This weekend saw a two day meet of the crafty devils club. Evelyn and Dorothy joined us from Scotland and it was lovely to see them again.

There were lots of challenges and lots of fun. We then went to the pub for our tea on Saturday night and a lovely time was had by all.

craft meet 14 June

We all had another lovely day yesterday, it was great meeting up again girlies...

The theme was elephants (thanks Sue) I had nothing with them on and had to go on the borrow luckily Gill came to my rescue. The challenge this time was a guest one and it was set by Sharon.

Sharon gave us all a card blank ready folded, a sheet of acetate and a list of other things we had to use. We all came up with very differant ideas.

i know patsi is away and i havent seen saz about for a while so i thought i would just remind us all because i know i will probably forget, that the meet is on sunday, not sure but i think it is 11 hopefully saz or patsi can let us know for sure before then.bring your lunch, cups,subs, bits n bobs for sharons challenge and of course your craft essentials

craft meet on may 31st

Had a great meet, not as many turned up today so there was plenty of space for those of us that did. The weather was very hot today and i think it was putting us crafters off slightly, even i only managed one card today and that was the challenge card.

Anyway here are the pics of our challenge cards, it was a sketch which was created by loretta fromthe do crafts forum for her mionday challenge, we were late entering but better late than never i suppose,
